Fosi Audio P1 Vacuum Tube Pre-Amplifier Mini Hi-Fi Stereo Preamp 6K4 *2 Tubes

I heard good comments about the P1 and decided to try it. This preamplifier has (2) 6K4 tubes. And 5532 opamps. Like that the P1 brought “life” to the music. The bass heavier. Voices are clear and powerful. Highs are crisper. With Class D sounded pretty good, but with class A/B. Wow, Clean, details, layering, heavy bass, really really good. Of course, sounded good but with limitations. The sound stage isn’t wider. Its at the center. I did several test changings the opamps, yes you can change the opamps. And that gives some change in the sound. The tubes its other thing i tried. I changed the 6K4 with the 5654 GE. The sound with these tubes is warmer and some holographic. I forgot to mention, the electronic components are good quality brands. In addition, i like the clicking feeling raising the volume. Comparing it vs P3. The P3 its good looking and more versatile because has bluetooth and headphone amp. But The P1 maintains the Fosi tradition of fun audio devices.

I had a good experience with others Fosi products like the P2,P3 & V3. I heard good comments about the P1 and decided to try it. The P1 is a hybrid preamplifier. Hybrid because its a solid state with Vacuum tubes. The preamplifier has (2) 6K4 tubes. And 5532 opamps. Like that the P1 sounded powerful and loud. I connected it to the V3. The P1 brought “life” to the music. The bass heavier. Voices are clear and powerful. Highs are crisper. I did the same setup but using my main audio equipment power amplifier. Wow!, the combination was awesome. Clean, details, layering, heavy bass, really really good comparing that vs the original $1k pre. Of course, sounded good but with limitations. The sound stage isn’t wider. Its at the center. I did several test changings the opamps, yes you can change the opamps. And that gives some change in the sound. The tubes its other thing i tried. The P3 doesn't have the volume of the P1 but somethimes sounds more sweet. This Fosi Pre amp and the V3 are part of the small form audio equipment line, its other league. Don’t compare with expensive audio equipment, its something good but different market and has limitations. I recommended to match it with class D amps and maybe if you have a power amplifier without a pre, could be an option to try. The P1 maintains the Fosi tradition of fun audio devices.

Bought this preamp to go with my V3. Excellent marriage of price, quality, convenience and features. No unnecessary frills . Simply a great preamp which give a slightly warmer edge to the V#. Highly recommended

I'm surprised at the sound quality for $49.
